Tayong Dalawa... Hangang sa Dulo

After the successful debut album project UUNANHON KO DAW? which somehow, after a long hiatus, reunited Arlene with her first love: singing. Arlene once more embarks on another musical journey which aggressively pushes her out of her comfort zone as a singer.

TAYONG DALWA ... HANGGANG SA DULO is a collection of a varied mix of genres in Tagalong, a few Waray-waray tracks and one English in a bid to create a fresh gush of contemporary Pinoy sound. All songs in the album were composed by prolific songwriter for stage, TV, film and mainstream music, Lucien Letaba. Mostly painted with idyllic love themes, the musical DNA represents varied rhythms, melodies and novelty experimentations to reflect situations, of the present cyberage generation while keeping the classic Visayan romantic sensibility intact as evident in the Waraynon tacks.

The album likewise is n acid test to Arlene's versatility in singing, as she hurdies bouncy Latin ballroom beats of Bossa nova, salsa and samba, a far departure form her usual ballad homebased.

Altogether, TAYONG DALWA ... HANGGANG SA DULO is an attempt to reinvent Pinoy music which is slowly being clouded by Western idioms. Independently produced and distributed, this album production is another exciting addition to the already rich templates of Pinoy pop music.
