Regine Velasquez – Drawn

Drawn is the ninth studio album of Filipino singer-actress Regine Velasquez released on August 1, 1998. The album was recorded from 1997 to 1998. This is the first album that Velasquez ventured into soul and R&B music coming from her previous Asian-pop appeal. It was executively produced by Mark J. Feist of the MJF Company and co-produced by Viva Records. The album is distributed in the Philippines by Viva Music Group. Mark J. Feist also arranged all the tracks, wrote & co-wrote five songs and played instruments throughout. The album was certified 7x Platinumby the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) for sales of 240,000 units in the Philippines.

Regina Encarnacion Ansong Velasquez (born April 22, 1970) is a Filipino singer, actor, and record producer who came to prominence after winning the 1984 Ang Bagong Kampeon and the 1989 Asia Pacific Singing Contest. Velasquez signed with OctoArts International under the name Chona in 1986 and released the single “Love Me Again”, which was commercially unsuccessful. After adopting the stage name Regine Velasquez, she signed a recording contract with VIVA Records in 1987 and released her eponymous debut album containing the singles “Kung Maibabalik Ko Lang” and “Urong Sulong”.

Covers, Volume 2 is the 13th studio album by Filipino singer-actress Regine Velasquez, released on January 30, 2006 by Viva Records in the Philippines in CD format and in digital download. The album contains different music genres including jazz and blues which is new to Velasquez’ repertoire. It is her third cover album from Viva after R2K (1999) and Covers, Vol. 1 (2004), and includes covers of songs by Al Green, Paul McCartney and Wings, Blondie and Alanis Morissette among others. The first single released is Hold Me In Your Arms originally done by the Southern Sons. The album was certified platinum a month after its release.
